From September 27th, 2016 to September 26th, 2017, Robin Meiksins was working on the 365 Days of Flute Project. Every day for 365 days, she posted a different piece, movement, excerpt or etude to YouTube. Each piece was recorded the same day it was posted, and, while movements of the same piece counted as different works, the works never repeated. The project was also open to submissions by living composers. Over the course of the project Robin was able to include 138 pieces written by living composers.
On September 30th, 2017, Robin gave a recital of works submitted by composers involved in the project. A livestream of that recital can be seen HERE.
An article about what Robin learned about her playing and how to practice can be found in The Flute View Magazine’s September 2017 issue. The article can be found HERE.
